Welcome to CantPhone!

CantPhone is a project to allow free VoIP calls between people in the Canterbury area, and beyond!

The project aims to integrate Asterisk and other technologies to provide an IAX2 peering service for a community Asterisk PBXes, each managed by individuals affiliated with the project, allowing free calls between all peers whilst still maintaining the fine-grained control over their own extensions, dialplans, and other peering arrangements some users may require.

For more information on the objectives and implementation of the system, see the Documentation.
